Pollinator Week coverage of the mind of honeybees with Dr. Cook

Chelsea shared some fascinating honeybee facts, like how they use the waggle dance to communicate environmental information to share information about foraging locations. She explained that honeybees translate this information into a dance which can communicate to other bees the direction of the food source by orienting based on the position of the sun and that a dancer’s enthusiasm communicates the quality of the food source.
